Entry for May 13, 2007

 High today was 90. Don't like turning on the a/c this early, but it was kind of miserable. Does not bode well for the rest of the summer...yick

I started work on "Wine" by Hinzeit. It is one of their mini blocks. I got it for Greg and hoped to have it done by Father's day, including the matting and/or framing. It is turning out to be a relatively quick stitch.

The kids are at Grandma and Grandpa's house for the night. Greg has gone to bed, so I am going to do my blog, do my bathroom routine, take my shower and head to bed. I may even get a load in to the washer and ready to be started in the morning. I do have 10 mins or so of work in the kitchen.

Not much else going on today. I did get the wall in Patricks room finished that I started months ago. Nothing like procrastination. I just hate painting with the kids around. These walls suck to paint on anyway and the added stress of the kids' noise just drive me batty. I am hoping to go and get some yellow for Mariska's room this week and get one of her walls done. Then I will rotate back through Bekah's, Patrick's and so on. That way, all the rooms get at least some color in them. And I want to get some fabric for curtains. I am thinking I will just get a big yardage of white, then add color on the trim, casing, ruffles... It will take some thinking. I would like to have their rooms done this summer, if possible. Then on to our room. I am thinking sea colors, blue, violet blue, green. All pretty much pastel shades. There is a big painting we got from Dennis and Vicki I am probably going to decorate around. I also want to pick up some mastic to finish the tile in the kitchen. I am getting sick of the half done walls. And if I f*ck it up, then so be it. It will be done. Of course, lets see what I say later..

Well, I am off. I am going to find my book, or a new one to start, and head to bed. Later all
