This friend came up to brighten up my day.
I found her growning along the northeast corner of the house. I always forget how pretty they can be in thier simplicity. Most often I think of them as weeds, growing in a ditch. But even there, they can be a really wecome little splash of color. I thought I might end up with some of these because I had put the bird feeder there and there is always spill over. I had been concentrating on putting sunflower seeds in it to attract the pair of cardinals that (I think) live in the cedars between the houses. Hopefully one of these days I will get a pic of them, or of the blue jay that visits. I have been starting to plan what flowers I am going to plant out front and along the sides. I am putting in coneflowers for sure, purple and white. I want a crepe myrtle, some iris, some tulips, four o'clocks and cosmos. A couple of roses.
I am leaning toward Joseph's Coat. If anybody else had any suggestions, I am open. Any successes you would like to share.
Later all
