No stitching update today. I barely started Jeannette Douglas' "Norther Shield", not enough to even report on.
Monday, I delved into our PIT OF DESPAIR, otherwise known to the rest of the world as our den. I made a big dent it in and found a frame for "Wine". Didn't bother with a mat, but got it all laced and framed and Greg took it for his cubicle at work.
Tuesday, our fridge died. Or maybe just fell into a deep sleep or coma ala Sleeping Beauty or Snow White. So I made a mad scramble over to Vic's to get our stuff into their garage fridge. Then on Wed, the boys brought that fridge over and we put it in the dining room. Two fridges in the house and neither is in the kitchen, how redneck is that?
We had a local guy Gary knew come over and he fixed ours for $67. Turned out to be a bad relay on the compressor. Made our day, knowing that it was an easy, cheap fix and we weren't going to need to get a new fridge.
Watched "Ghost Rider" with Nick Cage last night. You know, its not high art, can't even say it stands up to "Spiderman" standards, but its not a horrid flick. My two biggest beefs with the film is the overly dramatic, cliched speech that Cage delivers in the end, and the fact that he spends the WHOLE movie trying to channel the spirit of Elvis. And unfortunately over-acts the entire time. But then again, what do I expect from a movie about a flaming skull on a flaming bike that wields a length of chain?!??
Not much else going on. I got the cool ties done for the first batch. I should get around $120, but I need to divvy some up. The rest pays some groceries or the water bill. Next installment will get the bike fixed.
Will update more later. I am off to start dinner.
