Entry for April 09, 2007

Temp 50- High 52 Our little blast of winter is leaving

Avs- They are out of the play offs for the first time since 1994 Well, they DID make a pretty good run there at the end.

Hope everyone had a good Easter holiday. We spent Sunday with family. First we had dinner at Dennis and Vicki's then went over to Gary and Andrea's for dessert and an egg hunt. The kids had fun.

We have had an encore of winter for the last couple of days. Been 22 or so overnight, but we didn't get any snow. I had to cover my roses, but they were saved. Greg's grapes on the other hand, are a little worse for the wear.

I haven't stitched yet today. The progress up above is on a piece for Greg. It is "The Price of Freedom" by The Sweetheart Tree". Where there is a big blank space it originally read "God Bless America" . Greg requested some charms or embellishments with the insignia of the four branches of military; Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines. Unfortunately the one I chose, I didn't manage to find one for the Air Force, so I am going to put on the three I did find and then re-arrange them when I find that last one.

I did manage to do some housework today. I vacuumed both the floors, and the dog, tidied the entry, living room and dining room and kept the dished caught up. I have laundry to put away and some to fold and put away. And I still need to hit the bathroom and the kitchen again. I need to hang some pictures so I think I will head up and do that now and then get the kids fed. Ham, rice and broccoli. I will be having PB & J.

Kids go back to school tomorrow. WHOOPIE!!! Time to myself (sort of). I will write more later. Bye all!
