Entry for June 20, 2006

I had a halfway productive day today.  The older kids were on grounding for being in the street, so they had to stay inside and weren't allowed to watch movies.  I did say they could watch Noggin.  So I had them pick up their rooms.  Bekah did a really good job and Patrick, for a 4 yr old, did a pretty good job too. 

 Then, I started painting one wall of his room.  He wants his whole room blue and he picked a pretty nice shade, with some prompting from Mom and Dad.  But I am afraid that it is going to darken his whole room up too much.  So I am doing one wall on each room.  That way if its overwhelming, I can stop before its to late.

I also carpet cleaned his mattress.  It smelled from his accidents.  He hasn't has many but it doesn't take too many to make the room smell. 

The picture is of a flower I just found out I have.  It is a rose of sharon.  Apparently its a hibiscus.  It is growing next to the alley, near the garage.  Oddly enough, I had been debating getting one in Cheyenne. I would like to see if I could move it from its current location to somewhere more visible and with more light. 

I did replant my Batik iris that Sadie has dug up more than once.  It has even started to grow again.  I am hoping it survives. It is one of my favorite iris.

I guess I should go and do the dishes.  Anyone want to help?
