April 12, 2011

I wish I had stitching updates, but I don't.  I haven't been doing and stitching lately, other than trying to finish a dresser scarf I got from someone.  I will post pictures when I get it finished and washed up.

Both girls had birthdays in the past couple of weeks, March 30 and April 11.  They both got bikes.  You can see them here if you want.  They were pretty stoked.  We were going to have Santa get them bikes, but three bikes all at once gets pricey, lol

We finally replaced the washer that sounded like a jet. We picked up a Whilrpool HE Cabrio.  So far I am loving it.  My clothes are getting clean again, we can watch TV and wash clothes at the same time without having the neighbors hear both.  I am waiting to see what it does for my water bill.

Grandma and Grandpa Ramey made a doll bed for Mariska for her birthday.  This is how I found it with her doll the first night.

About the only crafty type thing I have been doing has been some household sewing.  I did pillowcases for Bekah's day bed's pillows and curtains for both Patrick's and Mariska's rooms.  Patrick's was made from a duvet cover that Grandma Wheeler picked up and Mariska picked out her own material.  I still need to get Bekah's done here shortly.  I want to do some for Greg's and my bedroom, but I have no clue what I want to do.

I did score pretty good on Freecycle the other day.  A lady posted a floor lamp and we are always in need of more lamps.  She was moving out of a gated community in SE Aurora and couldn't use it or another, table lamp.  I took them sight unseen and was really pleased to find these.  I really love the table lamp.  I probably wouldn't have picked out the glass and brass lamp, but the more I have it around, the more I like it.

I guess that is about all I have to report.  Time to go off and do kids' dinner and fold and put away some whites.  Then I intend on taking some Tylenol and trying to get to bed early.  There is some weather coming through and I ache.  Later all!

Oh, Julie. I know that ache. I have it too. I hope you're feeling all right these days. Spring is hard cause there's so much rain, and it can get so cold. It's fifty four here, and my knees are letting me know!!! I wish it was warmer, but we've got a cold front. Brrrrr... Not as bad as winter though, so hey, I can live with it. No more snow, whoo hoo!!!! I'm sorry you're not getting any stitching time. That really sucks. If your washer was that loud, I'm so glad you got it replaced. Julie M. (three Julies in the same blog reply, lol) has a loud washer. She can't hear anything on the phone while she's in the little enclosure with it. She says, "Hang on a sec..." and I hear the washer start up. For some reason, I always call when she's doing laundry. (Well, she has only one work uniform, so sometimes she does laundry every day, lol.) Anyways, hope you get some stitching time soon!!!
