Maximum Ride :Final Warning

Rating:★★
Category:Books
Genre: Science Fiction & Fantasy
Author:James Patterson
I was really let down by this book. I have read the first three and throughly enjoyed them, even though they are geared toward teenaagerss. I waited for my BIL to finish to borrow this book and set on it quickly. I was first disappointed by the length of the book. Right around 270 pages. Then the plot, or a sort of lack of plot. This isn't even the same ol' same ol' that he has done with the Cross series. This is just completely lacking in an engrossing plot. Then there is the global warning soapbox of the book. I am not denying that global warming is an issue we need to deal with, but perhaps using something more subtle than a sledge hammer weilded by a blind guy to get your point across would be better. Overall, if the rest of the series goes this way, I won't be reading anymore.

Yes, I do reccommend the series. I enjoyed them as what my husband calls "mind candy" , books you read to just enjoy and not look for deeper meaning.
