Bissell Healthy Home Vaccuum

Not the vacuum I sen't my husband out for. When my Hoover WindTunnel died after 10 years of service, Greg went to WallyWorld for "a bagged Hoover" I have had good luck with Hoovers and I preferred to be able to toss bags if needed. So this is what my husband brought home. Neither Hoover, nor bagged. WW apparently doesn't carry bagged vacs unless its the real cheapies. And he picked the Bissell because the replacement filters are cheaper than the others.
All this said, I was pretty pleased with the performance of the vacuum. It sucks, in a good way. It is a bit tippy and too heavy to easily take up stairs. And it lacks an upholstery attachment, opting instead for the turbo brush. I miss the upholstery attachment. But it does have a nice long hose and a telescoping wand, but there seems to be a loss of suction when you use them.
I also have a complaint albiet a small one, about the location of the power switch and the switch for turning the beater bar off. I find myself hitting them on accident all the time. I know its just a matter of learning the machine, but perhaps a slider switch would have been a better choice?

I have had several Bissel cleaners but love my Wind tunnel vacumn cleaner the best. I find that the Bissel just doesn't suck well enough for all that long. The Wind tunnel has not lost all that much power in well over two years. I have 2 dogs and 1 cat and deal with animal hair all the time - so I do have experience. I wish you better luck with the Bissel than I had. If you haven't used it too much you can always return it and look for a Hoover storeon line. I know I can still get bagged Hoovers at a Hoover store I ner knew existed until I found them by looking in my phone book.

Nice looking vroom-vroom. I have a Eurkeka vaccuum, and a Bissell Hot Steam cleaner (which I love). Good luck with your new machine.
